Albert J. Kovach 86 of Monessen on Friday May 6 2016 in his home. Born in Pittsburgh on January 10 1930 he was the son of the late Joseph W and Elizabeth Bodnar Kovach. He was a retired Steel Worker and a US Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was catholic by faith. Besides his parents he was proceeded in death by two brothers Joseph and Andrew Kovach and three sisters Elizabeth Hasak, Erma Asmondy and Rosemarie Schiovane. He is survived by his wife of 66 years Jennie Lipera Kovach. Two daughters Rosemarie (Bill) Hizer of Akron OH, Carolann Champagne of Monessen and one son Joseph (Mary) Kovach of Green Bay WI. Six grandchildren Abbie Spicuzza of Charleroi, Will Hizer of Akron, Jennifer (Kyle) Love Ft Sill OK Jessica (Cody Hizer of Akron, Elizabeth (Jordan) Griese of Green Bay and Danielle (James) Griese of New Braunfels TX. Three great grandchildren Billy, Gwen and Allie Hizer of Akron. One Brother J. Pete Kovach of Eighty Four PA, two sisters Mitilda Metzger of Carrick and Dorothy Vivio of Cranberry, one brother in law Frank Schiovane of Bethel Park. Numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Friends will be received on Tuesday from 1 until 8 pm in the Robert A Billick Funeral Home Inc. Grand Blvd and Marion Ave Monessen www.billicksfuneralhome.com. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 8pm in the funeral home with Fr. Michael Crookston Officiating.
