Paul Pushnack, 98 years, of Monessen, died Thursday, December 3, 2020 at Hallsworth House Personal Care Home. Born in Charleroi on June 29, 1922, to the late Theodore and Eva Bailey Pushnack, Paul was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 68 years, Dorothy Sucevich Pushnack; brothers, John, Ted, George, and Nicholas; sisters Anna Andercheck and Mary Marek. Paul proudly served his country during WWII as a gunner's mate in the United States Navy and worked as a rigger for Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel Company upon his return from the war. Russian Orthodox by faith, he was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather and a role model to his family and his community. Doug, my deepest sympathy to you & your family on the passing of your beloved father, Paul. I have great memories of him as I played Little League baseball and he had a great flair for the dramatics when calling balls & strikes. He would bellow, "Stir-ake, when it was for Strike Two, he would go, T---w----o--. I never forget how great he was and I did work with him at Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Co. later on. May he rest in peace. G. David Sivak - Greensburg, PA
