Albert Kovatich

Albert “Bo Peep” Kovatich 90, of Monessen, on Friday November 7 in Mon Valley Hospital. Born in Monessen on February 12 1924 he was the son of the late John and Mary Kovatich. He was a member of the Epiphany of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church, The Croatian Fraternal Union Lodge 194, V.F.W. Post 1190 , the American Legion Post 28, and the Croatian Club. Al served his country during WW II in the US Army in the Asiatic-Pacific Theater earning a Purple Heart. Besides his parents  he was peoceeded in death by four sisters Francis Plavetich, Ann  Cavrak, Mary Kubic and Katherine Muzar. He is survived by his wife Dorothy Luksich Kovatich, two sons and daughters in law Albert and Audrey Kovatich of Philadelphia and Robert and Lori Kovatich of Strongsville Ohio. Six grandchildren  Micheal, Daniel, Chrystina, Stephaine, Mary Jo and Rachael. Three great grandchildren Seaona, Michael and Danny. One brother Peter Kovacic of Bentleyville. Friends will be received on Tuesday from 2 until 4 and 6 until 8 pm in the Robert A. Billick Funeral Home Inc. Grand Blvd and Marion Ave Monessen. A Blessing service will be held on Wednesday at 9:30 am in the funeral home followed by a 10 am Funeral Mass in the Epiphany of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church, interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery.
