Barbara Bertha Kaminsky

Barbara B (Petey) Kaminsky 90 of Monessen on Monday April 9, 2012 in Mon Valley Hospital Inc. Born in Brownsfield Pa on April 4 1922 she was the daughter of the late George and Anna Petey. She retired from the Diocese of Greensburg working many years at the Most Holy Name of Jesus Roman Catholic Church and it's School. She was a member of the Epiphany of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church, the Monessen Women's Club when it was led by the late Mayor Hugo Parente and served two terms as committee woman of her ward. Besides her parents she was proceeded in death by her husband John, five brothers Frank, George, John, Joseph, and Steve Petey, and a sister Josephine Petey Galaski. She is survived by her son John with whom she made her home, a daughter and son in law Barbara "Sissy" Mara and her husband Phillip of Discovery Bay CA. One Grandson Chris Mara one granddaughter Stephanie Hardman and her husband Chad. A great granddaughter Jesse, and a great grandson Zachary all of California. One sister Irene Hlatky of Wilmington NC and a sister in law Jean Marriggi of Pittston Pa. and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received on Thursday from 2 until 4 and 6 until 8 pm in the Robert A. Billick Funeral Home Inc. Grand Blvd and Marion Ave Monessen (724) 684-3700 A Blessing service will be held on Friday at 11:30 am in the Funeral Home followed by a 12 noon Funeral Mass in the Epiphany of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church interment will follow in Holy Name Cemetery.
