Charles Punzell 98 of Monessen on Saturday Oct 27 in  his home. Born in Monessen on February 20 1920 he was the son of the late Charles and Eva Hrebin Punzell. He retired from Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel Co. and was a devoted member of St. John the Divine Russian Orthodox Church serving as Cantor and Past President, He served his country during WW II in the US Army Air Corp. a member of the American Legion Post 28 and the Russian Club. Besides his parents he was proceeded in death by his wife Julia Yuschak Punzell, two sisters Mary Constantine and Anna Punzell.  He is survived by a son Charles S. Punzell of Fayette City, a sister Sophie Schuresko of West VA. and a brother John Sobran of Monessen. Friends will be Received on Monday from 2 until 4 and 6 until 8 pm in the Robert A. Billick Funeral Home Inc. Grand Blvd and Marion Ave. Monessen www.billicksfuneralhome.com. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday a 1 pm in St. John the Divine Russian Orthodox Church with FR. Constantine officiating internment will follow in Grandview Cemetery Monessen   Panachida Monday 6 pm in the funeral home
