Elane (Hamer) Laszewski

Elane Laszewski 91 of San Marcos Texas formerly of Belle Vernon on January 9 2012 in Central Texas Medical Center San Marcos TX. Born in Belle Vernon, on February 13 1920. She was the daughter of the late Robert and Thora Trew Hamer. She was an active member of the Marion Presbyterian Church, Belle Vernon Golden Agers. Elane was an avid sports fan following her sons athletic careers from little league through college. She enjoyed watching the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Pirates. She was well known for her baked goods and divinity candy. Elane delighted friends and family with her sweet treats during the holiday's. Besides her parents she was proceeded in death by her husband Carl in 1984, a sister Pearl Hamer Stewart and a nephew former NFL official James Hamer. She is survived by two sons and daughters in law Brian (Janet ) Laszewski of Nevillewood Collier Twp and Lee (Leah) Laszewski of San Marcos TX. Two granddaughters Anna (Dan) Bryne of Wey Mouth MA. And Susan Laszewski of Washington D.C. One nephew Richard Alan Stewart of Belle Vernon, great niece Jamie (Brett) Kerns of Belle Vernon, great nephew Lee Stewart of Belle Vernon a great great niece Lily and a great great nephew Liam. Friends will be received on Friday January 13 from 2 until 6 pm in the Robert A. Billick Funeral Home Inc. Grand Blvd and Marion Ave Monessen.( 724) 684-3700 Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11 am in the funeral home with Rev. Robert Prinkey officiating, interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
