Gloria Jean Amalong

Gloria Jean Amalong, 75, of Monessen, PA, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 14, 2025, at Magee Women’s Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on May 6, 1950, Gloria was known for her bold, one-of-a-kind personality. She could walk into a room full of strangers and leave with lifelong friends. Affectionately known as “Crazy Aunt GG,” she was the heart of many gatherings, always full of life, laughter, and love. Though she never had children of her own, she poured her heart into her nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, treating them as if they were her own.

After a courageous battle with cancer, Gloria is now at peace and reunited with her beloved mother, Julia (Seftas) Seykoski.

She is survived by her life partner, Janis Chew; her sister Kimberly Jeremiah, (Clifford), along with their children Jenifer (Acey), Nicholas (Megan), Nicole (Scott), and Christopher (Emily); her sister Doreen Rockhill (daughter Missy and son Richard); Jennifer Davis (Dan), along with their children Jacob, Ashley; and many cherished great-nieces and nephews.

True to her independent spirit, Gloria requested that no formal service be held in her memory. Her family and friends will carry her spirit in their hearts forever, remembering her as the vibrant, loving, and unforgettable “GG.”
