John E Coleman Sr.

John E. Coleman Sr. 84 of Monessen on Thursday October 16 2014 in Mon Valley Hospital Inc. Born in Monessen  on November 20 1929 he was the son of the late George W and Marie R Gardell Coleman. John retired from the US Postal Service. He served his country during the Korean Conflict as a member of the US Army. He was a member of the Epiphany of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church, the American Legion Post 28, and the National Association of Letter Carriers. He is survived by his wife Mary Homas Coleman, four sons and two daughters in law John E and Patience Coleman Jr. of Monessen, Scott E Coleman of Aliquippa, Mark J Coleman of Monessen and Glen D and Wanda Coleman of Rostraver Twp. One daughter and son in law, Cheryl and Gerry Gindele,  of Eighty Four Pa.  Twelve grandchildren, Charity. John III, Katrina, George, Charles, Alexis, Danielle, Nicholas, Sean, Robert John, Kendra and Keilah. Private family viewing and visitation was held on Sunday from 2 until 6 in the Robert A. Billick Funeral Home www.billicksfuneralhome.com funeral services were held this morning at 10 am in the funeral home with Father Michael Crookston Officiating ,interment  followed in St. Hyacinth’s Cemetery.
