Julia (Skowronsky) Evonko

Julia Evonko 94 of Monessen on Tuesday July 11 2017 in Westmoreland Manor. Born in Canonsburg on April 27 1923 she was the daughter of the late Wasil and Tekla Skowronsky. She was a devote member of St. Mary Byzantine Catholic Church. Julia was regarded as an expert cook and baker. She cherished her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and her great great grandchildren.Besides her parents she was proceeded in death by her husband Jack J Evonko, her brother John sisters Helen, Ann, Pearl, Margaret and Tillie. She is survived by a daughter and son in law Dr. Julia and Donald Stewart of Belle Vernon, a son and daughter in law Jack J and Susie Evonko of Wilmington NC. Grandchildren Tammy Stewart and Chris D Emedio of Donora, Shelia Levandosky and Ray Esola of Monessen, Kristy and Tony Jericho of Belle Vernon, Jack and Kelly Evonko Jr. of NC, Jason and Tayna Evonko of NC. and Pam Bey and John Feete of SC. Great grandchildren Christopher D Emedio, Marcus and Amanda Mavrakis, Melaina Esola, Ashley Jericho and Scott Monto, Lauren Jericho, Jared and Gabe Evonko, Savannah and Laney Evonko, and Justin Bey. Great-great grandchildren Marissa and Lena Mavrakis. One Brother Steve Skowronsky of New York. Friends will be received on Friday from 2 until 4 and 6 until 8 pm in the Robert A. Panachida will be held on Saturday at 9:30 am in the Funeral Home Followed by 10 am Divine Liturgy in St Mary Byzantine Church with Fr. Stephen Wahal Officiating interment will follow in St Mary Cemetery
