Margaret "Peggy" D'Alessio August 21, 1951 – January 12, 2025
After a long and courageous battle, Margaret "Peggy" D'Alessio passed away on January 13, 2025, at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles. She was 73 years old.
Born on August 21, 1951, in Monessen, Pennsylvania, Peggy was the beloved daughter of Alfred and Marie D'Alessio, and the cherished stepdaughter of Famie D'Alessio. She spent her early years in the close-knit community of her hometown, graduating from Monessen High School, where she first showcased her determination and zest for life. She earned her Radiology degree from the University of Pennsylvania, and after graduation, she moved to Los Angeles, where she spent her career working in sales.
Peggy had an enduring love for Italy and her Italian heritage. Her favorite city, Roma, held a special place in her heart, and she often spoke of its beauty, culture, and timeless charm. A fighter to the very end, Peggy possessed a strong will and determination, inspiring everyone around her with her resilience and refusal to give up.
Preceded in death by her nephew Bill, she is survived by her older sister and brother, Marylu D'Alessio and Dennis D'Alessio, his wife Sue, and their two sons: Dennis Jr., and his daughter Siena, and Richard, and his wife Nan. She is also survived by her cousin and soulmate Mark D’Alessio, as well as many other cousins who were a significant part of her life. Peggy’s family was the cornerstone of her life, and she cherished every moment spent with them.
A private service for the family was held. A celebration of life in honor of Peggy will take place later this month, with details to be announced.
Peggy’s warmth, vibrant spirit, and unwavering strength will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
