Margaret A (Sinchak) Dzimiera

October 19, 1923 — February 8, 2018

Margaret A."Marge" Dzimiera, 94 passed away Feb.8 2018 at UPMC Altoona after complications of the flu. Margaret was born in Monessen, PA, and was the daughter of the late Michael and Anna (Hromey) Sinchak. On June 13 1972 Margaret married Peter C. Dzimiera  and he preceded her in death. Surviving are her two sisters Regina Feryok of Monessen and Marian Monios of Altoona and many nieces, especially Meg Clevenstine of Altoona and Michele DeFrancisco of Hollidaysburg and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was preceded  in death by three brothers and their wives: Steve (Betty) Sterback, of Monessen, Stanley (Mary Harmon) of Homestead, and Samuel (Yvonne Baldwin) of Caro Michigan, brother in law Joseph Feryok and two nephews Michael Sinchak of Pittsburgh and Gerald M Sinchak of Caro Michigan. Margie attended the Most Holy Name of Jesus Church and School in Monessen and Monessen High School.  She had worked at Santone's Restaurant  in Charleroi and Drizos Cleaners in Monessen. Margie enjoyed all crafts including ceramics and painting, crocheting and knitting, all flowers, dancing and singing (her two favorite songs were Que Sera and You are my Sunshine). She loved dogs and her dog Princey brought great joy for 12 years. Going to the senior center was her daily enjoyment.  She loved to travel with family, especially with her sister Marian. She moved to Hollidaysburg in September of 1999 due to health issues and to be near her sister Marian. On December 1  1999 Margie suffered a major stroke. She then became a resident of Garvey Manor Nursing home in Hollidaysburg.  Her Catholic faith was her strength  and residing  at Garvey with the kind, compassionate, skilled, loving staff and the Carmelite Sisters proved beneficial for her recovery and longevity. She was able to attend daily Mass at Garvey and enjoy all programs and activities offered,  She loved her sister Marian and will be eternally grateful for all the love, care and concern she had for all of her life. Friends will be received on Monday from 9:30 and until 10:30 am in the Epiphany of Our Lord Church 44 Penna. Blvd Monessen. A Funeral Mass will be said at 10:30 am interment will follow in Holy Name Cemetery. Robert A. Billick Funeral Home Inc.  www.billicksfuneralhome.com has been entrusted with arrangements.
