Mary Martha (solfilkanich) Tomcanin

Mary M. Tomcanin 89 of Monessen on Monday March 2 in Mt. St. Macrina Manor. Born in Monessen on February 21 1926 she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth Cuprik Sofilkanich. She was a Member of St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church , the St. Mary's Ladies Guild and the Rosary Society. Mary was a 1944 graduate of Monessen High School. besides her parents she was proceeded in death by her husband Emil J. Tomcanin, one sister Ann E Sofilkanich, a brother John Sofilkanich  and a great grandson Levi Secrest. She is survived by two sons and daughters in law William and Dana Tomcanin of Export Pa., Thomas and Deborah Tomcanin of Harrisburg and a daughter and son in law Cynthia and Allen Rost of Speers Hill. Eight grandchildren Robert and Laurie Tomcanin of Stewartstown PA. Renee and Joe Herrmann of Schaumburg IL, Kristyn and Oswain Venzen of Forrest Hill MD, Thomas and Jen Tomcanin Jr. of Liverpool PA, Nicole and Dan Amlosch of Lake Meade PA, Michelle and Ben Secrest of Chambersburg PA, Tina and Glenn Rost-Barber of Raleigh NC and A.J. and Kayla Randall Rost of Harrisburg PA. Five Great grandchildren Jeremiah R, Teagan E. and Toby Tomcanin, Donovan Secrest and Michael Emil Herrmann. Friends will be received Thursday from 2 pm until 7 pm in the Robert A. Billick Funeral Home Inc.
