Michael E Dankovcik

Michael E Dankovcik 91 of Monessen on Friday April 7 2017 in his home. Born in Monessen on October 28 1925 he was the son of the late John and Suzanna Kruppa Dankovcik. He was a member of St. John the Divine Russian Orthodox Church. He retired as a case worker for the State of Pennsylvania. Mike was also a former member of the Monessen Lions Club and a veteran of the US Army during WWII. A 1944 graduate of Monessen High School and a 1948 graduate of Douglas Business College and the McKeesport Automation Institute . Besides his parents he was proceeded in death by his grandson James "Jamie" Salathe III and two brothers Andrew and John. He is survived by his wife of 56 years Olga Yetsconish Dankovcik, A son David Scott Dankovcik of Monessen and a daughter Beth Salathe and James of Greensburg, one granddaughter Brittani A Salathe, and a great grandson Cooper Caulfield both of Greensburg. Three sisters Suzanne Dankovcik, Elizabeth Dankovcik and Agnes Billick all of Monessen. A Nephew John Michael and wife Sandy of Detroit Friends will be received on Monday from 6 until 8 pm and on Tuesday 2 until 4 and 6 until 8 pm in the Robert A. Billick Funeral Home Grand Blvd and Marion Ave. Monessen. Funeral service will be on Wednesday at 10:00 am in the funeral home. Interment with Military Honors will take place at 1 pm in the Cemetery of the Alleghenies National Cemetery.
