Robert Betza

Robert Betza 92 of Monessen on Tuesday May 5 2026 in St. Barnabas Health System. Born in Monessen on May 18 1933,g he was the son of the late Andrew and Mary Chismar Betza. Bob was a Class of 1951 graduate of Monessen Highschool. He served his country in the US Army serving in Korea. Bob was a member of the VFW post 1190, Monessen Elks, Croatian club, Eagles and a trustee at the former Slovak Home. Bob married his high school sweetheart Rosemary Benyak with whom he enjoyed 70 wonderful years. Bob was a member of the former Holy Name Church, and the Epiphany of Our Lord Church. He enjoyed singing with Pro Musica, Holy Name Choir and St Sebastion’s Choir for 26 years. Bob and Rosemary enjoyed spending winters in Florida, trips to Las Vegas and Atlantic City and Cruises. Besides his parents he was proceeded in death by a daughter Kathy Betza Pileggi, five brothers Andrew, John, Michael, George, and Joseph and a sister Mary Duran. Besides his wife he is survived by two sons Robert and wife Robin Betza of Gibsonia, and Kenneth and Donna Betza of Lower Burrell. Grandchildren Maura and husband Dale Walter, Stephen and wife Shalynn Betza, Robbie Betza and Christopher Betza. Great grand children Duke Walter, Molly Walter, Eli, Noah, and Hudson Betza. Friends will be received on Friday May 8 in the Robert A Billick Funeral Home Inc. Grand Blvd. and Marion Ave Monessen from 3 until 7 pm. And Blessing service will be held on Saturday at 12 Noon in the funeral home followed by a 12:30 pm funeral Mass in the Epiphany of Our Lord RC Church, internment will follow in Holy Name Cemetery.
