Ronald J Furio

Ronald J. Furio, 96, of Monessen, died on June 15, 2021 in Monongahela Valley Hospital. He was born in Monessen on July 7, 1924 to Eduardo and Matilda (Caruso) Furio . Ron was a graduate of Monessen High-school and worked as a Steel Worker for Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel Monessen Plant. Ron was an avid hunter and was a member of a hunting lodge with many friends. Ronald is survived by his loving wife of 77 years Catherine (Zattiero) Furio, two daughters, Bernadette Joseph of State College and Kathleen McGrew of Houston, PA; son, Ronald Furio of Land O Lakes, FL; three grandsons, John (Bethany) Joseph, Brian (Megan) Joseph, Jamey Furio; great-granddaughter, Elizabeth Joseph; two great-grandsons, Peter Luke Joseph, Alexander Furio. Besides His parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Romeo Furio and Dr. Henry Furio.Private funeral services were held this morning in the Robert A. Billick Funeral Home Inc., Grand Blvd. & Marion Avenue Monessen with Rev. Robert Holmes delivering the Eulogy. Entombment followed in Mon Valley Memorial Park.
