Shaun Kovacs, 26 of Belle Vernon, passed away on May 16, 2014 in Allegheny General Hospital Pittsburgh from injuries sustained from an accident. Born in Pittsburgh on September 1, 1987, he is the son of Terry Kovacs of Belle Vernon. Though his death was a tragedy he was able to save many lives through his organ donations. Shaun loved the outdoors, watching Pens hockey, playing tennis, and enjoyed cooking for his family and friends. To know him was to love him. He was Catholic by faith. He was proceeded in death by his grandfather Raymond Brinkman, his great-grandfather Andrew Kovacs, Sr., and his great-grandfather and great-grandmother John and Gladys "Sis" Astle and his aunt Joann Gevas. Besides his mother he is survived by his step-father Dennis Simboli of Belle Vernon, his grandmother Kay Brinkman of Fayette City, his grandfather Andrew Kovacs Jr. of Phoenix AZ, great-grandmother Margaret Kovacs of Phoenix AZ. A sister Amanda Kovacs-Lloyd (Steve Eberle) of Pittsburgh, Nieces, Kaylee, Kenzie and Koko Lloyd of Pittsburgh. A brother-in-law Kenneth (Karen) Lloyd of Lancaster. Four aunts Jane (Wayne) Lee of Fayette City, Debra Brinkman of CA. Robin White of Austin TX and Kristine (Todd) Clay of Fayette City. Three Uncles, John Brinkman of San Jose CA., Rick (Amy) Brinkman of Spokane WA, and Mark (Julie) Kovacs of Uniontown. Cousins Kacy Dean, Joey Clay, Syndie, Hunter, Jack and Maggie Kovacs, Mike Strati, Nataleigh McGuire, Patrick and Demetria Gevas, Lily and Beau Brinkman, Charlie Stone, Chad Brinkman and Spencer White. His loving pup Dixie, his best friend Nicole Brown, his one and only love Eryn Thomas, and numerous great aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
