Steve Bankovich 89 of Monessen on Friday November 30 2018 in Haven Crest Health Care and Rehab Center. Born in Fairhope on July 14 1929 he was the son of the late Joseph and Anna Domitovich Bankovich. He Retired from Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel Co. He served his country in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a Life member of the Monessen Eagles, Croatian Club and the CFU Lodge 194, Belle Vernon Russian Club, Star Junction Fish and Game, and the Fayette City American Legion. Besides his parents he was proceeded in death by his two wives Betty Dubinsky Bankovich and Gladys Jane Barnosky Bankovich.A step Daughter Carol Ann and a step grand daughter Brianna. Two brothers Joe and George "Sonny" Bankovich and one sister Francis Sullivan. He is survived by three sisters Mary Ann Svetkovich of West Mifflin, Mildred Secrist of Florida and Dorothy Burg of N.C., Nieces and nephews , Joseph Bankovich, Nicole Thomas, Joella Pici, Kimberly Bonifate, Beth Campbell, Debbie Nowak, Dana Bettencourt, Amy Norris, Carrie Sachs. A special Care Giver Vali King, Wanda and John, and a step daughter Susan Bentley  Friends will be received on Sunday from 2 until 4 and 6 until 8 pm in the Robert A. Billick Funeral Home Inc. Grand Blvd and Marion Ave. Monessen. Funeral Services will be held on Monday at 10 am in the Funeral Home with Fr. Michael Crookston Officiating interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery.
