Virginia Catherine Sethman

March 18, 1946 — October 11, 2012

Virginia C. "Ginny" Sethman 66, of Jacobs Creek, on Thursday October 11, 2012 in Latrobe Hospital. Born in Jacobs Creek on March 18 1946 she was the daughter of the late Albert L. and Helen Pollack Sethman. Ginny was Orthodox by faith and later in life attended Jacobs Creek Baptist Church. Ginny had many friends at the Social Security Administration in Greensburg where she was employed. She knew everything about the N.F.L. and especially the Steelers. She was like a commentator on TV when it came to the Steelers or any other team, players and their families. She was very feminine but would talk at length with men she worked with regarding sports and she always brought in books and magazines on football and the Steelers. She adored her brother Jim and Mary Anne her sister, she would cry over Mary Anne when she had heart failure over the summer. Ginny missed Mary Anne during her absence of three months when she was Harmon House receiving skilled nursing care and therapy so that she could walk again. How they loved each other. Ginny was magnificent, beautiful and kind. She would take older women, widows, mother and neighbor to the store for groceries. Ginny was very kind and generous. She was very devoted to her parents, her brother Sam and son Sammy. Ginny and Mary Anne were Gospel Singers when they were young girls and women. They enjoyed dancing together to Doo Wop music and singing tunes. Special thanks to friends Bonnie, Shirley, Gary and Christine for helping and caring for Ginny and Mary Anne, God Bless them. Also thanks to Dr. Reilly and Dr. Peracha. Besides her parents she was proceeded in death by brother Samuel Louis, a sister in law Irene Brehun Sethman and a brother in law Eli Alberts. She is survived By her son Samuel L Sethman of Jacobs Creek, one brother James A Sethman of North Huntington and one sister Mary Anne Alberts of Monessen. Two nephews James A Sethman II and Mark A Sethman both of North Huntington and a niece Pamela A Sethman Earl of Penn Twp. Friends will be received on Saturday from 6 until 8 pm and Sunday from 2 until 4 and 6 until 8 pm. In the Robert A.
