William J. Miller Sr.

William J. Miller Sr. 92 of Belle Vernon on Wednesday October 1 2014 in Mon Valley Hospital Inc.  Born in Pittsburgh on December 1 1921 he was the son of the late Charles and Esther Johnston Miller. He was a member of St. Sebastian’s Roman Catholic Church and a former member of the Most Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church. He retired as Plant Manager from Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel Co. Monessen Plant. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 954 of Monessen, BPO Elks 773 and the American Legion Post 28. He was a veteran of World War II having served for 33 months in the South Pacific. He was a 1 ^st Lieutenant in the 405 ^th Bomb Squadron, 33th Bomb Group 5 ^th Air Force. Besides his parents he was proceeded in death by an infant daughter Judith. He is survived by his wife Anne Kubes Miller of Belle Vernon a son and daughter in law Attorney William J and Joyce Miller Jr. of Ligonier , a daughter and son in law Patricia and Paul Pigeon of Golden CO. Four Grandchildren, Michelle and Jeff Kotula of Washington Pa., Raquel and Sean Virgili of Fallowfield Twp, Nicolette and Kevin Reynolds of Arvada CO and Veronica Pigeon of Golden CO. Five Great Grandchildren Levi, Aspen, Malley, Maeve and Bridget, a brother in law John Bartus. Friends will be received on Friday from 5 until 8 pm in the Robert A. Billick Funeral Home Inc. James Bump Officiating interment will follow in Holy Name Cemetery Monessen
