Stella J (Nawoj) Filipowski

Stella Filipowski 93, formerly of Monessen on Saturday September 17 in Walden’s View Personal Care Home North Huntingdon .  Born in Canton Twp. On April 19 1929 she was the daughter of the late Frank and Julia Kotcij Nawoj.  Stella was a former member of the Epiphany of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church. She was employed by JC Penny Company and Fox Grocery.  Throughout her life, she was active in many social clubs including the Polish National Alliance.  Stella’s greatest devotion though was always to her family, whether it was a helping hand, a delicious polish feast or a round of laughter.  Besides her parents she was proceeded in death by her husband Edward Alfons Filipowski Sr., a son Edwin Filipowski and a grandson Brion Maund.  She is survived by a daughter and son in law Janet and Richard Maund and a son and daughter in law Edward and Judy Filipowski. Two grandchildren Ehren (Diane) Maund and James (Amanda) Filipowski , Four great grandchildren Taylor Maund, Caylor Maund, Rachel Maund and Julian Filipowski. Family and friends will be received on Saturday September 24 from 11 am until 1 pm in the Robert A. Billick Funeral Home Inc. Michael Crookston Officiating.  Interment will be in St Hyacinths Cemetery.
